Stupid Signs – Part 1

The first installment of a semi regular / irregular / never to be seen again feature. A few stupid signs as found on the internet. Plenty to pick from, but here is an introductory selection.

If you have any recommendations then go share them with us.

When good ads go bad…

When does a good advert turn into a bad advert? You be the judge on whether this one fits the bill. Ouch!

‘Wikipedia Names Your Band’

Another week, another mini-craze sweeping the internet. This week it is time to create your own band, but let Wikipedia name it, Quotationspage give your debut album a title and Flickr design the cover.

What you need to do to get your debut album ready to share:

  1. Go to Wikipedia and select ‘random’ – the result of this is the name of your band
  2. Go to the ‘Random Quotations’ option on Quotationspage.com. Go to the last quote on the page and choose the last 4 or 5 words from this quote. This is the name of your album
  3. Finally, go to Flickr and choose the ‘Explore Last 7 Days’ option. Select the 3rd picture which will be your album cover.

Now no cheating here. The above process should be random, so no cherry picking your photos or band names. Nothing to stop you creating multiple bands though, after all even the biggest stars can have multiple projects on the go!

Here for prosperity is the effort from my new band. Not bad for a first effort.

Fernando Torres – Star of low budget adverts

A little gem of a TV commercial featuring footballing superstar Fernando Torres. Not sure whether he needed a few quid extra, or if he knows the owner. Either way, a little piece of advertising magic to be enjoyed.
